The Tubes are Clogged Again
Last night, my dad stayed over while in town on business. We were talking about how Bush finally stated that Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11. I said, "So now we can finally impeach him, right?"
His response was, "Do you really want someone as evil as Cheney as President if Bush is gone?"
"Impeach him too."
"You want Dennis Hastert as president?"
"I don't like Hastert, but he's not evil!"
"What if Hastert can't do it. Maybe he's indicted for corruption or something. Who's next in line again?"
"The president pro tempore of the Senate."
"Who's that?"
"Ted Stevens of Alaska."
"Who the heck is he?"
I then proceed to show my father this video from The Daily Show on what Ted Stevens thinks of the internet.
My dad sits back, thinks for a second and says, "This country is doomed. Even I know how the internet works and I hate technology."
Either way, I think we have to wait until the Dems take back Congress so we can actually have someone worthwhile take over should we finally grow some national balls and impeach those motherfuckers.
